eviQ vision: A world where quality cancer treatment information is available globally to clinicians, patients and carers.

eviQ is a free online information resource for health professionals, patients and carers. It provides current evidence-based, peer-reviewed cancer treatment information at the point of care.

Since its inception in 2009, eviQ has helped the way people with cancer are treated. eviQ’s growth has been rapid, with the program becoming a major driver for the uptake of evidence-based information for health professionals at the point of care.

Delivered by the Cancer Institute NSW, eviQ is highly trusted by clinicians, patients and policy makers to support best practice and achieve quality cancer outcomes. eviQ is a preferred provider of evidence-based cancer treatment information.

With more than 40,000 users from 148 countries, eviQ welcomes more than 800 new registrations each month, and is fast becoming recognised globally.

eviQ Features:

Quality cancer treatment information
As the number and type of new drugs to treat cancer increases rapidly, prescribing and administering cancer treatments is becoming more complex. eviQ provides the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment information through the provision of more than 600 cancer treatment protocols.

Evidence-based and peer-reviewed
Content development for eviQ follows a strict governance process. More than 600 of Australia’s top cancer clinicians freely give their time to develop and review the eviQ content; ensuring it remains accurate, current and relevant.

Equitable access—anytime, anywhere
Accessed free of charge, eviQ allows teams of health professionals, patients and their carers access to the same high standard of evidence-based information.
Using eviQ, health professionals can be sure they are providing the best cancer care using the latest evidence-based treatments and safety standards; and all those affected by cancer have access to the same quality information and receive the very best treatment.

eviQ education -  online modules
Intended for health professionals, these evidence-based, online blended education resources are designed to support the development of knowledge and skills in the safe delivery of cancer treatment, patient assessment and patient management.

Global reach
Already highly trusted by health professionals, patients and policy makers, eviQ has the ability to lessen the impact of cancer globally by partnering with organisations that are influencing cancer control across the world. Work is underway to highlight on the eviQ website which protocols can be delivered using the oncology medicines included in the World Health Organisation (WHO) list of essential medicines.
